Places to see One of the three major festivals in the "Land of the Lake." An annual festival of the Tenson Shrine that originated in the early Edo Period (1603-1868). Designated an Intangible Folk-Culture Property by the Prefectural government. On the eve of the festival, festival music can be heard coming from floats of different towns. On the main festival day, thirteen floats adorned with Gobelin tapestry and decorative metal fittings parade along the streets.
